Two Year Anniversary Celebration, Saturday, April 17th, 2010

One of the unexpected pleasures of opening a specialty toy store is the "job" of looking for new, old school and unique toys and games that differentiate our store from the big boxes.  We began the store by first attending the Seattle Gift Toy Show held every January and August downtown.  We have attended the last two American Specialty Retail Association shows in Connecticut and Saint Paul, and will be attending again this June in Providence, RI.  I also just came back last week from a Long Beach show that is second only to Toy Fair in New York which is held each February.  
 
Whenever possible, we love to bring the kids and have them try out the new toys from the hundreds of toy inventors and companies.....can you guess whose idea it was to bring in the African dwarf frogs, the EZ-Roller, Power Poppers, Artisands and Bubber?  It's impossible to compete on price with the internet and the box stores, but we continue to be really proud to find these unique toys and games and put as many as we can in our store.  We offer these along with great customer service, gift wrapping and a whimsical place where kids and families are invited to play and spend quality family time.
